Launched in January 2023, the Galaxy A14 5G was Samsung’s most affordable way into 5G: a 6.6-inch 90 Hz screen, 5000 mAh battery, 50 MP camera and side-mounted fingerprint reader. What few people know is that it was sold in two versions with different chips, and that decides which screen you need.
Step 1: A146B or A146P?
Check under Settings → About phone or on the SIM tray label:

Step 2: the screen

The framed Original makes fitting easier. Add a tempered glass protector, standard or full cover.
Step 3: battery and charging
Compatible 5000 mAh battery for the A146P. After two or three years, a new battery brings back the A14’s near two-day battery life.

The reader is built into the side power button. Fingerprint flex in all four phone colours: grey, black, green and purple. If volume or power stop working, the volume and power button flex.
Step 5: camera and sound
Main camera 50 MP for blurry or black photos, camera lens if only the glass is cracked. Earpiece speaker if you can’t hear calls, loudspeaker for ringtone and music.
